Upcoming Milwaukee Sketch Club Exhibit this Fall

We had a 15 minute meeting before Sketching a couple of Tuesdays ago & decided to exhibit in fall at Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield.

Here's Beki's email.

Hi,

My name is Beki, I demoed a few years ago for one of the Milwaukee Sketch Club meetings. The reason I am writing you is that I now help coordinate education programming at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield, WI. Our education wing includes an art studio, dance studio, and music rooms. The hallway of the education wing is dedicated to displaying visual art that promotes the purpose of education. We have exhibited a range of “education themed” bodies of work, including a few MARN Salon shows, adult class work, youth class work, an art instructor show, and work from local elementary schools. I thought of Milwaukee Sketch Club as a possibility for display. We could accommodate 15- 20 works (framed or wired for hanging). The only other restriction is that since this hallway is used for all ages, the work would have to be non controversial and no nudes. Is this something Milwaukee Sketch Club would be interested in? Again, the focus is on education- we would want to put up a wall panel about Milwaukee Sketch Club and its mission. This is not a primary gallery, but still a high trafficked area. What do you think?
