Milwaukee Sketch Club Last Session Tonight, Closed rest of season
Morning everyoneFrom: Thomas Piedt <piedt1@yahoo.com>
Art and Tom - see you down the road.So far 20 have responded of 36 active members. I expect more responses through today. Of the 2013 have suggested closing for the season, 7 have responded close for a month and reevaluate. The majority of the responses are in favor of closing for the season (at this point) as well as Art and myself. Presently uncertainty rules the future and Art and I are responsible for supporting the safety of our members, models, family and friends. There are two uncertain sessions and an uncertain dinner following mid April and one thing is for sure - uncertainty - will continue mid April.Based upon the brief period in April, Art and I have decided to hold sketch tonight (for those who wish to attend) and cancel for the remainder of the season - erring on the side of caution. All current members will be reimbursed for the 6 sketch sessions missed by reducing club dues next year $19.60 each.Art and I hope all our members, family, friends, and the community at large get through this situation safely.

Call for Artists
The robins are back; the crocuses and tulips are peeking through the cold ground. Summer is certainly within view.. Have you been thinking about your outdoor art fair schedule? You are invited to apply to exhibit at this juried art and fine craft fair held in beautiful Richfield Historical Park, Richfield, WI (Washington County). This is the 12th year for the event. You will find this event to have:
- reasonable booth & jury fees
- easy unload and reload arrangements
- ample space between booth spaces
- friendly, helpful staff
- free homemade pastry & coffee during setup
Because we know the success of this event depends upon our exhibitors, we strive to advertise to the fullest extent of our ability to attract attendees. We use newspapers, fliers, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest), websites and signage to promote the fair.
For those who exhibited at this event in 2019, construction kept some visitors from navigating an 'unfriendly' road. That construction is completed and will not affect the 2020 Art at the Mill.
Click here for the link to the Guidelines and Application Form. You can also find the document on the Richfield Historical Society website: richfieldhistoricalsociety.org (Home Page, Left Side, Scroll Down.)
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
