Gallery 2o7 features Robert H Zondag! August 29

From: Jeanne Nikolai Olivieri <jeanne@gallery2o7.com>
 Dear Friends,

Art meets nature in a new exhibition opening at Gallery 2o7 on August 29, featuring the exquisite florals of Robert H Zondag!

Join us on August 29 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm for the Opening Reception of The Necessity of Floral. The event includes an artist talk at 6:45 pm.

We are excited to pair Zondag’s talk with a presentation at 7:00 pm by Shady Lane Greenhouse related to the art of gardening!
As part of the opening we are collecting non-perishable food items for a local food pantry. Feel free to donate an item if you choose.
Robert Zondag is a Wisconsin-based artist with a current focus on mixed-media, watercolor and acrylic. Having studied both the Chinese and Japanese art forms of printmaking and watercolor brush-technique, Zondag is on a quest to convey meaning through simplicity of form and use of color.  In terms of his subject matter, he states:

“The importance of joy in the life of a creative cannot be underestimated. For me, joy is found in a connection to nature, an essential element of my art. As an avid gardener, I observe the structures, the hidden relationships, the colors and the play of light found in nature's palette. I look to convey this fleeting beauty in my work.”

Exhibition dates are  August 29 to September 18.
Gallery hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 11am to 4pm, Saturdays from noon to 4pm and by appointment.
We look forward to seeing you at the opening reception!
