As the year ends, I am pleased to offer you another winter season of full day art workshops, all held in the warmth of my Milwaukee teaching studio. To accommodate busy holiday schedules, I have had many requests to both extend the number of sessions during the week for each workshop, and to also include at least one weekend session on Saturday afternoons. These day long workshops are for all ability levels, from beginners looking to spend a day to jump start their creative talents, to experienced artists looking to take their artistic skills and vision to the next level.

Painting Techniques of the Italian Renaissance:
An All Day Paint Along Workshop
This
workshop is being offered at my studio as a complement to the current
wonderful special exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Museum: Of Heaven and Earth: 500 Years of Italian Painting From Glasgow Museums
In
this workshop we will explore, in depth, the techniques employed by
renowned artists of the Italian Renaissance such as Leonardo, Raphael,
and Titian, to create some of the art world's most admired masterpieces.
Paint along with James as we discover the artistic processes prevalent
in Florence and Venice, the two most prominent art centers of the
Italian High Renaissance. Through a step by step study of two separate
paintings, we will detail all the traditional materials and methods
involved, with necessary adaptations for contemporary materials where
time constraints apply.

Friday, Nov. 21st, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Monday, Nov. 24th, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
