Dear Margo, The "quiet" season is upon us in Door County (we had our first real snowfall of the season this week), but there are still many opportunities to further your art-making skills or learn a new technique at Peninsula School of Art this winter. Our winter workshop registration begins on Tuesday, December 3. You'll find a complete listing of our winter offerings below and on our website at PeninsulaSchoolofArt.com. If you are looking for some quiet, creative time on your own, our spacious and well-equipped studios are available for rent on a daily and weekly basis through April. Also, our 12th Annual Gallery Salon Exhibition and Party is just around the corner. This exhibition is open to artists of all levels and media. Your artwork must be dropped off on January 2 or 3 to be eligible for showing. Complete exhibition information and a link to the prospectus is below. We'll also recognize Salon artists with cash People's Choice Awards and make merry with delicious complimentary food and beverages. Join other artists in this eagerly anticipated annual exhibition of hundreds of pieces of artwork, displayed from floor to ceiling in true salon style. All ages are welcome to view the exhibition as well as join in the festivities at the Salon Party, free of charge - bringing fun and good cheer to chilly midwinter days and a night.
