Greetings!      I am so excited for this Saturday. It's one of my favorite events at the museum, our annual Holiday Open House. I enjoy it because the museum is filled with people making memories with loved ones. And really, isn't that what we all need a little more of, time with our loved ones? Glass Artists of The New North Exhibition Glass Artists of the New North: Creativity in Our Midst  September 15 - February 16, 2014        This exhibit fea Jeremy Popelka Sturgeon Bay, WI  Serac, 2013 Sand cast glass tures the creative and innovative work of nationally and internationally renowned glass artists who live and work in The New North region of Wisconsin. Within our area, there are a growing number accomplished artistswho are recognized for their capabilities of enriching the intellectual, economic and creative environments of the region. These artists have managed their own businesses as gallery owners, artist and entrepreneurs, creating work for exhibit and sale to a national audience. The goal of this exhibition is to meld the interest in innovation in the business community with the creativity and innovation of the artists in our midst. Create a glass ornament ($15 each), make a card and other holiday activities, go on a scavenger hunt through the museum enjoy live music and more.       Children must be accompanied by an adult. Glass projects will   be available for pick up at the museum the Thursday following the Art Activity Day. *Art Activities end at 1 pm. Last call for payment to participate in fused glass activities is at 12:45 pm. Art Activity Days are funded in part by a grant from the Appleton-Fox Cities Kiwanis Charitable Fund within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and Bemis  Foundation. Thank you.     Top Renovations and Facility Improvements Thank you to you, our volunteers, members and donors, whose belief in the work we do, makes these projects and programs possible. The library and vault projects are both happening because of the generosity of individuals, foundations and businesses in our community and beyond. A special thank you to the volunteers who safely moved the collections from the vault, Miron Construction, Faith Technologies, Interior Systems Inc., Hi-Density Spacesaving Systems, the Frank C. Shattuck Fund within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, Gary and Marge McClanahan and the many individual donors to the library.
