Local First Milwaukee
Beginning in 2006, a group of like-minded and independently owned Milwaukee businesses began meeting to discuss how to make Milwaukee a more sustainable community. A commitment grew from those conversations to create a network that would advocate to the community all of the benefits of choosing local businesses first. Part of their advocacy work is to demonstrate how dollars spent locally positively impact the local economy.
