Exciting
news! M. Stephen Doherty was editor of the magazine "American Artist"
for 30 years and left a few years ago to revive the defunct "Plein Air
Magazine". He was in Fish Creek over the weekend for the Door County
Plein Air, and took several photos of James during the 2 hour Dockside
quick paint which he posted yesterday on Plein Air magazines Facebook
page. His comments praised him for his "adventurous and highly
successful" quick draw painting. Today he contacted us to interview him
about his work. They just concluded a phone interview and the result is
that James is to be the featured artist in Plein Air magazine's August
8th e-newsletter.
I'll
send a link to the article once it's published. In the meantime I
attached some photos from the event. (Unfortunately I had a smudge in
the middle of my camera during the quick paint! Aargh!!)
