Spacious Skies & Spectacular Sunsets:
Painting the Poetry of Clouds and Sunlight
Great landscape artists throughout history have relied on the exceptional range of atmospheric effects of the sky to create both the emotional tone and drama of light in their artwork.
Join us as we paint step by step in an depth study of extraordinary masterworks of the genre. Through this process we will explore how to see and create the spectrum of subtle hues found in the broad dome of the sky, from rich azures overhead to ethereal cerulean above the horizon. We will also consider the anatomy and classification of clouds while we perceive and paint the prismatic colored layers in a blazing sunset.
When: Friday, March 9th, 10:00 am - 4:00pm (with a 1/2 hr break for lunch)
