Kick off & In Person Registration:

Participants who have pre-registered must stop by MARN to pick up their certification materials and artist’s packet. Those who have not registered are welcome to do so.

Friday, September 30th, 2011, Noon-7pm
Saturday, October 1st, 2011, 10am-4pm
Sunday, October 2nd, 2011, Noon-3pm

Beyond the Canvas is a non-traditional plein air event presented by the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network. For this event MARN encourages participation by all types of media to include the traditional (oils, acrylics, watercolors and pastels) as well as the non-traditional such as motion picture, photography, digital images, printmaking and sculpture/assemblage. Participating artists are required to use the vistas of the Menomonee Valley to inform their work which must be produced between September 30th and October 17th. All works entered will be featured in a juried exhibition and auction on October 21st & 22nd.

Beyond the Canvas: Valley Bus Tour

This very special bus tour is provided by the Menomonee Valley Partners and Potawotomi Bingo Casino.

Learn all about the area you’re about to spend the next two weeks being inspired by! Starting at the Casino you’ll board a bus with MVP staff and get a lesson on the history of the valley and its importance to Milwaukee’s development. Free, but space is limited and reservations are required. Call 414-732-2121.
