Developments in painting in the 19th century encompassed a wide range of artistic aims, styles, and subjects. Innovations in working methods and materials led to new perceptions and pictorial possibilities. We can see these developments in the wonderful range and variety of European and American paintings at our own Milwaukee Art Museum.
Paint along with James as we explore in depth select Masterworks of European and American painting from the Museum's collection.
**As an extra encouragement, I will meet those who sign up for the workshop at the Milwaukee Art Museum for an optional walk through study of the artwork this Thursday evening. For those who are able to join us, we will meet at 6:00pm in the Museum lobby.
Everyone has had a great time at all of our past all-day intensive painting workshops.
