Parking was easy. We just parked on the North side of the river in a parking lot off Bank St where there was a Flea market. Then walked across the river on the multiple pedestrian bridges. Waukesha downtown is very compact and easy to get around in.
A member of our group just received word from Sr. Barabalie of Alfons Gallery that Sr. Lucinda Hubing passed away Wednesday. She critiqued for many art groups throughout the years, including ours, and also offered her home for us to continue with our art meetings when we did not have a place to meet.
The wake is at 4pm and mass at 6:30 on the 29th. I assume that it is at the mother house in their chapel at St. Joseph's Center just south of Greenfield on Layton Avenue next to Alfons Gallery.

Thursday we had the opportunity to paint restored tractors & 57 chevy truck. It was fun drawing the curvy shapes. It was a partly cloudy day that started out warm but turned very cool by the time we left.
Instead of going to Hy 83 and Saylesville to paint, we have an opportunity to paint a 1950 VAC Case Tractor restored in 1997. Also there will be a 1957 Chevy 1/2 ton Step side pickup truck with the background of fir trees and in a field. What an opportunity to paint old vehicles and I am excited about this event.
Directions:
From Hy 43 to Hy 83.
Exit and drive North on Hy 83 to Hy 59.
Turn left (West) onto Hy 59, go about a one and one half miles,
turn left (South) onto Corby Drive.
Turn right onto Karen Drive. Take Karen Drive and
turn left onto Prairie View Drive. It is the first house on the left. 628 Prairie View Drive, North Prairie.
We met in Catalano square near Utrecht Art Supply 143 North Broadway, near MIAD. There was both meter parking around the square and 2 hour non metered parking on Erie st. (Side note: The riverwalk is divided into 3 sections, The Beerline just north of downtown, the downtown section & the 3rd ward section.)
Then we walked over to the bridge and down some steps to get to the Riverwalk. It was very comfortable with benches and chairs to sit on. We got to see boats both parked and going down the river Plus both bridges on each end opened while we were there. There is 2 hour non-metered parking on Erie Street which was open because it was in between MIAD's school semesters. All in all a good morning.
