Milwaukee Sketch Club had a great day painting in Downtown Waukesha on Wednesday
6 of us showed up and there was so much to paint. There is a lot of old buildings with interesting shapes and stonework. The sidewalks are wide, there are quite a few art galleries & coffee shops. The Fox River walk and farmers market is only 1 or 2 blocks from downtown. Quite a nice compact area. Weather was perfect, sunny and in the 70s.
In fact we're going back there on Friday July 31 at 1:00 p.m. and meeting at the Farmer's Market by the Fox River.
Don't forget Saturday's Plein Air Outing is at Barnacle Bud's Restaurant & Milwaukee Harbor yacht club, 2066 S 37 st, between Beecher & Burnham. ( http://www.barnacle-buds.com/ , http://www.mhys.org/ )
