Richfield Art Field 7/22/17

from:

Richfield Art Fair <artfairrhs@gmail.com>
to:Richfield Historical Society

Art at the Mill has been in existence for 9 years. it is a juried art & fine craft fair to be held on July 22, 2017.  The fair is held outside nestled among the trees and surrounded by historical buildings in the beautiful Richfield Nature/Historical Park (Washington County - Wisconsin.) Would you be interested in applying?

Amenities for exhibiting artists:
  • Ample space between booths
  • Easy pull-up for unloading
  • Reasonable $55 booth fee (before or on 4-1-17) or $65 (between 4-2-17 and 7-1-2017)
  • Low jury fee of $10 (waived for returning artists)
  • Booth reliever
  • Free coffee/pastries during setup time
  • Tickets for tour of historic buildings located in the park
  • Friendly staff
The quality of our fair is very important. The number of like exhibitors will be limited to assure a good balance and variety.  (For example, the number of jewelry exhibitors will be capped at seven and six jewelry artists have already been accepted. So, apply early for your best chance of being selected.)

Advertising is also very critical for art fairs.  This event will be widely advertised in print, broadcast & social media and promoted through many local businesses. We want to reach as many potential attendees as possible. Free admission to the fair and the extra benefit of being able to tour historic buildings are attractive factors.

An application form and guidelines are attached and also available at: www.richfieldhistoricalsociety.org.
(Home Page under Upcoming Events, July 22, 2017 -- Art at the Mill).  Feel free to call or e-mail with any questions.

Happy Thanksgiving

To: "Arthur Bartkowiak" <artbartkowiak@gmail.com>
Subject: please pass this along
Hi Art, please pass the following along:

Please let the members know that I am teaching a ceramics class at The Sharon Lynn Wilson Center on Monday nights starting this coming Monday (it actually had one session already, but the class price is prorated for the missed session). We are focusing on wheel throwing and will be doing some hand building. Small class size so lots of individual attention! They can call 262-373-5023 to register or 262-367-4292 (Landline so please don’t text) with any questions.

I can be reached at iangeles@wi.rr.com if they are interested in private lessons in drawing, polymer clay jewelry, or painting in any medium beginning in January. Please contact me for tuition costs.

Thanks much! Happy Thanksgiving one and all! J

Warm regards,
Irene Angeles

It was a gorgeous Fall day. A little chilly but not bad.

The bridge is out and under construction so you can't come in the college ave direction. Instead you need to take the road along the golf course parking lot.

Plein Air Painters of America Master Workshops 9/25-26-2017

from:Plein Air Painters of America <director@pleinairpaintersofamerica.com>

Unlike any workshop you've ever taken, PAPA's Master Workshop Series features six highly sought-after instructors, teaching two 2-day intensive classes, in the gorgeous retreat setting of Madeline Island School for the Arts. You will work consecutively with two instructors, have a critique session with a third instructor then finish the week with a paint out. Evenings will be filled with gourmet meals, wine and round table discussions on topics ranging from 'how to get noticed by magazines, galleries and museums' to 'how to write a bio that matters,' and 'open mic night' where you ask the panel anything and everything.
