Hi guys,
I just talked to the owner of the campground, and he is thrilled that we
will be painting there. The exact address of the owner is W1591 Sawyer
Lane,
East Troy, 53120. You must drive 5 mph, drive past his house on
the left, go through the gate and turn right. That will take you
down to the lake. We
will meet there and I can show you painting opportunities from
there. There are bathroom facilities (porta potty) with beautiful
views of the lake, boats,
Lilly pads, farm equipment, flower garden, log cabin and barn, all along
the lake.
Attached is a map of entering the grounds from Hy ES just 1/2 mile north of
HY 20 in East Troy.

Milwaukee Sketch Club at New Berlin Prospect Hill Settlement Historic Park on 7/11/14
About 7 of us showed up last Friday morning. Weather was in the 70s and sunny. Actually started getting quite warm. Decent parking and quite a lot to paint.
Here's a link to some pictures when we went last time.

Next Friday morning, we decided to not go to Frog Alley because of hwy 83 construction. Instead we have decided to go to Army Lake, W1591 Sawyer Lane, East Troy, 53120 at 8:30am. Vivian has gotten permission from the owner and we plan to meet down by the lake.

Milwaukee Sketch Club in Greendale downtown 7/7/14
About 5 of us showed up. Weather was about 70 with a light breeze.
There is a lot of interesting places and buildings to paint if you have time to wander around
http://milwaukeesketchclub.blogspot.com/2009/08/milwaukee-sketch-club-in-downtown.html
I didn't have time to wander, only an hour, so just painted the gazebo had an interesting play of light.
Tonight we are scheduled to go to Sail Loft. That's a great place. Last year they let us paint on their deck.

South Shore Park Plein Air Painting Saturday July 5, 8:30am - noon
from: alminzlaff
@hotmail.com
Just a reminder to anyone that might be interested.
Outside the Studio
Plein air painting in South Shore Park
Saturday,July 5, 8:30am-noon
Brings your paints or drawing materials and join me for plein air. There is also a green market there at the same time. Plenty of subjects to paint and you are at the lakefront and yacht club area. I will by at a picnic table near the west entrance to the park, near South Shore Dr.
The plan is also for a costumed model to be there if you to paint from a model. She would appreciate your tips if that's what you choose to do.
If anyone is lost your confused when you get there feel free to give me a call.
Any of you who plan to come give me a reply just so I have an idea of who to expect for sure.
Thanks,
Al

Milwaukee Sketch Club at East Troy Town Center, Friday Morning 6/27/14
Pretty easy to get there. Just took I-43 South until Hwy 20, made a right off the expressway, then made a left at stoplights (main street) to business center.
We set up on the sidewalk in front of some shops. The sidewalks were very wide. Photographer from the Chamber of Commerce came out and took some pictures. Who knows, maybe later this year pictures of us will appear on their website. People were just the right amount of friendly. Morning started out cool but then became quite warm when we left.
Thank you John for the good pictures!
