Unitarian Universalist Church West Artwork Review Procedure, Exhibit Application & Schedule of Exhibits
If you are interested in exhibiting or selling your work at UUCW Art Gallery, please fill out the Gallery Exhibit Application. The Art Gallery Committee will review your work to make sure it is gallery-ready, fits the show theme if it is a themed show, and isn’t redundant in style to submissions already approved.
UUCW will retain a 15% commission on all works sold. Checks for the full retail amount will be made out to UUCW. When the checks clear, the balance minus the 15% will be paid to the artist.
1. We encourage prospective artists to look over our website (http://www.uucw.org) and to visit The Gallery in person before submitting artwork for consideration. You can drop by the church at 13001 West North Avenue Brookfield, WI and pick up an application or download one at http://www.uucw.org/community/music-visual-arts. If you’re unsure about your pricing, leave that blank on the application and we’ll discuss it with you.
2. Email jpeg photos for consideration to the Gallery Coordinator, Carol Christ Hoffmann. Contact the UUCW office for the email address and phone number. Use your best judgment about quantity.
3. Upon acceptance, you’ll need a completed application and contract, bio, an artist’s statement and your real work, not reproductions. All work should be professionally presented (gallery-ready). Framed work must be wired. For three-dimensional pieces, call the Gallery Coordinator, Carol Christ Hoffmann for assistance.
