  • Sept. 17th - Retzer Park (Hwy 18 west of Waukesha) - 24th Annual Apple Harvest Festival - cost=$5 per car - starts at 9AM so we would have to meet for a park/ride at 8AM so we can find a good parking spot at the park/festival. http://www.waukeshacounty.gov/defaultwc.aspx?id=39580, like a farmers market. We could meet anyone at Meadowbrook Shopping Center at Summit Ave/Merrill Hills Rd on this map and ride over together-8AM

  • October 8th - Calhoun Park
  • October 15th - Whitnall Park/Mallard Lake again but go around the lake toward the Wher center to paint something else but the waterfall area. Depends on the fall colors.
It's very weird, when I copy & paste data from google document I have to go into the html code & change text color from transparent to black.

South Shore Farmers Market 8/20/11

I made it to this event early Saturday so I was able to take some photos before it started to rain. I ended up leaving just after 10AM. I did a couple little sketches. If it doesn't rain next Saturday this has plenty to offer with the park, marina, farmers market and the homes that are next to the park. Margo

Milwaukee Sketch Club at Harley Davidson 8/17/11

The Harley Davidson Museum grounds has plenty of parking, beautiful plantings, interesting buildings and is bounded on 3 sides by water. If you're taking 94 East you get off at the James Lovell exit which I believe was previously labeled as 6th St. We painted on the north side of the grounds under the bridge. It was supposed to rain but never did and it was sunny. It was shady & cool under the bridge next to the water.

Milwaukee Sketch Club at Phantom Lake 8/18/11

Very pleasant. Picnic tables & benches to sit on. People fishing both on land in boats. Real neat paddle wheel propelled weed cutter boat went by several times. Thank you John & Kathy for pictures!

Milwaukee Sketch Club in Downtown Waukesha 8/11/11

Another beautiful day outside. Two little friends were swimming across and running up & down on both sides of the river in the rocks. Thank you John & Kathy for the pictures!

Valued Critiques

Lorin Willey facilitates thoughtful and instructive critiques to guide the artist in assessing his work.
Lorin’s critique sessions are based on his 3 step process called the “3-C’s”. He asseses the combined use of creativity, craftsmanship, and clarity of intent to hone an artist’s work down to it’s essentials and to find where the extra mile could put a work over the top.
