Mukwonago Midnight Magic Show Sponsored by Brooklife Church 12/3-11/4/12
Show #2: Mukwonago Midnight Magic Show Sponsored by Brooklife Church
When: December 3 - January 4, Opening Reception December 3 6:00-9:30 pm.
Theme: Mukwonago Midnight Magic. Artwork depicting winter, night/evenings, religious themes of Christmas, or of course the local sites of Mukwonago would all be welcomed to fit this theme.
Venue: Brooklife Church ( 857 S. Rochester Street, Mukwonago, WI 53149). Brooklife averages 900+ weekly attendance, giving the artist cumulative exposure over the month of December. The opening reception will coincide with a concert by the Mukwonago Orchestra.
Display: Each artist may submit 1-8 works. Artists must supply their own title tags if so desired. Artist statements are encouraged. The Artist submits all artwork framed, mounted, or in otherwise ready to display fashion. Curator will hang the work for the artists.
Sales: Brooklife will not take a commission on the artwork sold. Brooklife’s sole responsibility in sales is to supply inquiring buyers with the artist contact information/
Fees: $5 Hanging Fee. Specials thanks to Brooklife for sponsoring the reception!
Mediums: All 2-D mediums and sizes are welcomed within a 15 lb weight limit. Brooklife reserves the right to determine which artists and artwork will be accepted into the gallery. With many children as viewers, content must be suitable to a “PG” audience—as determined by Brooklife. Medium must be safe—no works with sharp, jagged, or otherwise dangerous protrusions left uncontained will be accepted.
Delivery: The Artist is responsible for dropping off their artwork on November 28th, 8am-6pm. Pick-up is January 4, 8am-4pm, or by appointment.

When: December 3, Noon-10pm. This is a one day show.
Theme: Open. Exhibit whatever you’d like.
Venue: The former Mukwonago Jewelry & Gallery (10 Main Street, Mukwonago, WI 53149). This vacant store front is equipped with track lighting and display cases. It is located in the heart of Midnight Magic’s foot trafficked area, for excellent exposure.
Display: Artists will hang or display their own work. Each 2-D artist will be assigned 10-15 feet for display (less if they need less. Four glass display cases and two book shelves are available to 3-D artists, or they may bring their own tables. Artist supplies their own title tags and pricing if desired. Artist statements are encouraged.
Sales: No commissions are taken on artist sales. If the artist wants Hofmeister Gallery to accept cash or credit sales on their behalf, a 5% handling fee will be assessed.
Fees: $20 reception fee.
Mediums: We are accepting approximately 15 artists: 1-2 jewelers/fabric artists, 2-4 sculptures/potters, 10-12 2-D artists of all mediums.
Delivery: The artist will hang their work on December 2, 4:00-6:30 pm, or by special appointment that day. The artist if free to take their work home at 10pm on December 3, or Noon-1:00 December 4. Artwork unclaimed at this time will be considered discarded by the artist.

Artspire/NYFA Brings Presentation on Resources, Support and Fundraising Tools for Artists to Milwaukee Artist Resource Network (MARN)
October 2, 2011 – Milwaukee, WI Milwaukee Artist Resource Network (MARN) is pleased to announce Artspire/NYFA will be in Milwaukee on Saturday, October 22 to offer a free presentation that is geared toward individual artists across disciplines and small/emerging arts organizations that will cover Artspire/NYFA’s extensive resources, fundraising and support programs. The presentation is free and will be held at MARN’s Milwaukee headquarters.
Artists working in all disciplines looking for jobs, opportunities, grants and professional development are invited to attend this presentation about free and low-cost national services and resources that Artspire and the New York Foundation offer to them. Eleanor Whitney, Program Office for External Affiars and Fiscal Sponsorship from Artspire, a program of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) will present on Artspire/NYFA’s resources, fundraising and support programs available nationwide for artists at all stages of their careers.
Eleanor Whitney is a Program Officer for External Affairs at the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) where she works to connect artists to NYFA’s extensive services and resources. She also provides technical assistance and fundraising support to artists in the NYFA’s Artspire Fiscal Sponsorship program. She is pursuing a Masters in Public Administration at Baruch College’s School of Public Affairs and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Eugene Lang College with a concentration in Cultural Studies and Education. In addition, she plays guitar with an independent rock band and is a freelance writer.
Whitney’s free presentation will be held on Saturday, October 22 at 2:00PM at Milwaukee Artist Resource Network’s (MARN) headquarters and gallery located at 5407 W. Vliet Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The presentation will allow room for Q&A and follow-up with each participant. Visual, performing, literary artists and filmmakers are all encouraged to attend this free presentation. Reservations are recommended and should be sent to educators@marnonline.com or call (414) 732-2121.
MARN’s gallery and resource hours are Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 7:00PM and Saturdays from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. The gallery is wheel chair accessible. Free streetside parking is available.
