Jim Hempel Plein Air Workshop at Cupertino Park, Sunday September 26

An email from Jim:
Hi Everyone!,
I hope you got outside to enjoy the beautiful weather today. I am catching up on some missed summer by squeezing in some plein air painting workshop opportunities at picturesque locations around the city before the weather cools and the colors change.
I'll be teaching an all-day plein air painting workshop on Sunday the 26th of September at Cupertino Park. Several of you have specifically asked for a painting workshop at this site. This is a beautiful spot at the north end of South Shore Park just north of the South Shore Yacht Club. This picturesque marina of sail and power boats has a backdrop of the Milwaukee skyline and the Hoehn bridge beyond. There are great views of the boats, colorful sails, sparkling water, a pier with benches, gulls, ducks, fishermen... The wooden pier is a large "L" shape, affording us plenty of space to spread out, be out over the water closer to the boats in the marina, and to have different views/options to paint.
We'll meet at 10 AM and paint through the day until 4PM or so. There is a bathroom and water on site.
Please bring a lunch, an easel suitable for outdoor painting, your painting supplies, and two to three small - medium sized panels or canvases. Other media are welcome as well. If you are new to working outdoors and need more details on what to bring, please contact me by e-mail or phone, and I'll be happy to let you know what you will need.
Please contact me with interest or questions, and I'll forward you all the other details!
Hope you can join us!
Best regards,
-Jim Hempel
