We met in Catalano square near Utrecht Art Supply 143 North Broadway, near MIAD. There was both meter parking around the square and 2 hour non metered parking on Erie st.
(Side note: The riverwalk is divided into 3 sections, The Beerline just north of downtown, the downtown section & the 3rd ward section.)
Then we walked over to the bridge and down some steps to get to the Riverwalk. It was very comfortable with benches and chairs to sit on. We got to see boats both parked and going down the river Plus both bridges on each end opened while we were there. There is 2 hour non-metered parking on Erie Street which was open because it was in between MIAD's school semesters. All in all a good morning.
